Student Clubs
Student Organizations at Ave Maria University-Latin American Campus
Student organizations offer students the opportunity to express their common interests and promote the types of co-curricular and extra-curricular events that enhance the intellectual, social and recreational life of the campus. Currently, organizations include the Chess, Club, Mission trip Club, Engineering Club, Literature Club, and the well known Business club, just to mention a few. Other clubs may be formed based on the interest and initiative of students in coordination with the Student Services Office.



Currently, the student organizations include:
AMULAC Mission Trip
Following the call of "making disciples of all nations, AMULAC's Mission Trip Club aims to preach the Good News to Nicaraguan people and help those who have spiritual and material needs
Our goals are:
- To create a closer relationship with all the members of the club
- To work consistently towards securing the future of the Mission Trip, which is an event that has a great impact on both the students and the villagers in the towns we visit.
- To give our students, Catholic and non-Catholic, the opportunity to grow spiritually by doing missionary work.
Business Club
We strive to provide unity among all the business students at AMULAC and promote team work. Our activities are directed towards developing our members' leadership skills and encourage the qualities of honor, credibility and moral principles which are vital to the business profession. In addition, our club is committed to promote social responsibility and consciousness toward the community.
Chess Club
We aim to promote chess by increasing the number of students and faculty involved in the club. Also, we strive to represent AMULAC in different cities by becoming active in chess tournaments.
Our goals are:
- To have at least 5 active and experienced players in the chess team.
- To go to at least 3 tournaments in Managua.
- To form a chess team of 20 people regardless of experience.
Engineering Club
Our mission is to help pre-engineering students become well informed about their field of study for them to be able to meet the requirements to transfer to a good university for Engineering studies.
Our goals are
- To provide Engineering students enough information about their career through conferences and field trips
- To increase knowledge in our community by sharing our own understanding of this field
True Devotion to Mary
Our mission as a Marian Club is to honor our university's name through spreading the devotion to our Lady, who was the perfect model of Christian life for her virtues.
Our goals are: To spread Marian devotion through activities such as Mary's Birthday party, movie nights and talks to clarify misconceptions regarding our Catholic devotion
To organize outreach activities to share her love with San Marcos villagers
To support Franciscan Friars in the organization of the Marian Consecration
Fashion Club
The club's mission is to show the virtue of modesty through fashion. Our deepest desire is to teach our students that modesty is not outdated; instead, it enhances the dignity of the human being.

Our goals are:
Theology of the Body Club
Our club is committed to spreading John Paul II's teachings on Theology of the Body among the entire campus, especially through club members who have the chance to listen to talks and participate in our educative activities.

Literature Club
Our mission to provide a means of expression to all the student body who, in general, have a genuine interest in the arts, and particularly, enjoy reading, writing, photography, and painting.

Our goals are:
To publish the literary magazine called "Punto y Aparte", which includes essays, short stories, poems, and other types of narrative expressions.
To promote cultural activities within the university by organizing literary contests, plays, talent nights
To attend literary events or activities in which national and international writers are involved
French Club
Our mission is to show a glimpse of French culture to Ave Maria University-Latin American Campus, through the promotion of different cultural activities in order to expand our students' horizons.

To organize fundraising activities in order to help the Mission trip as our Outreach project.
To organize a French cultural night at least once in the semester in which different customs of France are going to be presented according to region.
Tae Kwon Do Club
The purpose of our club is to teach our students self-defense, self-discipline, courtesy and respect through the Korean Martial Arts of Tae Kwon Do.

Adventure Club
Our mission is to provide cultural knowledge to the Ave Maria Community by experiencing many adventures throughout Nicaragua.

Our mission is to become the best non-profit organization in AMULAC, so as to efficiently aid the basic needs of the local children community in San Marcos.

Organize recreation activities for the children of San Marcos
Legum, Reges & Diploma Club
We are called to respond to the political situation we are witnessing.
In consideration of this, our aim is to spread political awareness among the youth through the promotion of activities for IRP students and other interested in politics and social issues.
Furthermore, we seek to stress the importance of democracy among people of all political ideologies, and motivate massive and individual political participation in students and the community as well.
Our goals are:
Photography Club
Our mission is to encourage the appreciation of the art of photography and increase our skills, knowledge and ability in the craft through friendship based on this common interest.
One of our goals is to capture in photographs the most beautiful memories of our college life at events such as Graduation and the Consecration to Mary.
