Chess Club

Mission Statement

To bring together chess players who like to share their hobby and interests in chess with each other, with the purpose of exploring reasoning and promoting an increased knowledge and understanding of the game of chess for its own sake as an art, and as an intellectual sport. This club seeks to develop all of its members as chess players and enhance their appreciation of "the Royal Game" through special seminars with chess professors and national champions, provide chess tournaments as well as other activities for club members. This club marks the life of its members since their first move.
 
Membership in The Ave Maria Chess Club is open to any person with an interest in chess, regardless of his/her experience or playing ability.
