Professor Bruce Griffin received his Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University in General Studies with concentrations in English, Political Science, and Religion. In addition, Prof. Griffin holds a Diploma in Jewish Studies from the University of Oxford. Presently, he is a DPhil candidate at the University of Oxford in Literae Humaniores (Classical Studies). Mr. Griffin is an ancient historian with a background in classical studies and papyrology, coupled with a special interest in Thomism. He has delivered papers to the Society of Biblical Literature in the United States and also to the International Society of Biblical Literature in Europe. He has delivered several lectures to the C.S. Lewis Society at Oxford, the most recent focussing on C.S. Lewis and Thomism. His first graduate degree included a 25,000 word thesis on Jesus and Judaism written under the distinguished Dead Sea Scrolls scholar Geza Vermes. His doctoral dissertation at Oxford is titled, "The Transmission of the Bible at Oxyrhynchus"; it studies the work of Catholic scribes copying the Bible during the first four centuries of the Roman Empire.
